I have a new addition. All of the walls were primed and painted with two coats on paint. Behr Drywall primer was used and the paint brands varied. If I use painters tape (even the sensitive variety) on any of these walls, it peels the paint down to the drywall. I don't know if the walls weren't clean enough or if the primer was bad but I'm wondering if there is any way to fix this as I would like to repaint one of the rooms with stripes and I will need to use painter's tape to do this. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The product you used is not the best, and certainly not helping, but your problem is probably (also) due to improper or insufficient surface prep before priming
Regardless of what percentage of your problem is due to what, you will continue to have this problem if you use tape
In fact, if a little tape peels it down to the drywall, I think you have a potential major problem
I think a major sand/scrape is in order, to get rid of any loose or "iffy" paint/primer
Then a proper cleaning
A swiffer should do it, but a more thorough cleaning if need be
Then a re-prime with a problem-solving primer
Off-hand I'd go with Zinsser's Gardz...or maybe Ben Moore's Fresh Start
Then you should have a proper surface for painting and your stripes

I agree, there is a good chance that the primer was applied over drywall dust = lack of bond. Hopefully a good through sanding will remove all the loose paint.
