I just primed/painted my LR and DR 2 weeks ago, but there still is a funky smell coming from the wall by the kitchen. The previous owner had switch outlet cover that emitts odor, probably over the years this odor adhered to the wall....Well, i been using warm water+bleach and with a cloth rub it gently over the wall... The odor is less strong and i will continue doing it until it stops or stumble into a better product/solution...
Does anyone know if bleach can fade the latex paint?

Yup
It can fade it

That doesn't mean if you are careful you might not run into that
But yes, bleach can fade it

Q:
Do you mean they had one of those plug-in devices that emit "nice" odors, and the wall smells like old Glade now?
Or it was an unintended odor?
If it was unintended, I suspect it was not the switchplate cover
And/Or the plug-in was there to mask the odor, in which case you may want to address the original odor

If the drywall absorbed a few years of Glade Plug-in oil, then you may want to consider spot sealing the area with an oil- or shellac- based sealer and repainting the area (just a touch-up around the plate if pos.)
