i have two cans of paint one semi-gloss and one satin. i would like to use the satin color to help tint the semi-gloss to a more desired color, about a 1/3 satin/semi-gloss mix. My question is will these to paints mix together properly and finish on a wall properly? Or, will the to consistencies repel one another. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

As long as the bases are compatable you can mix them. Latex with latex, oil with oil base.
Be sure you mix up enough paint to do the job - it is highly unlikely that you can duplicate the color and sheen.
