Hi, I have a heavy duty Kenmore electric dryer. The dryer will operate just fine, so long as you hold the push to start switch. I have checked and replaced the switch and the problem persists. The timer seems fine, it rotates, and the unit shuts off once the timer reaches the off position. The door switch seems fine, the dryer turns off when the door is opened. My assumption is that the unit would not operate at all if the thermal fuse had blown. Could it be something other than the circuit board in the console?

Thanks,
Barry

Whats the model number? Get it directly from the
model and serial tag. There also may be a 3 digit number followed
by a decimal point. Make sure you include it also.

Not that anyone offered any help but for anyone who reads the thread in the future and can benefit, it was the control board in the console.
