My Frigidaire front loader, model GLTF1670A, won't go into the spin cycle. It had this problem when it was new and under warranty, and the serviceman replaced "the board" and advised me to plug it only in a "dedicated circuit", explaining that inconsistent current supplies could "score the board". The problem continued, but so intermittently that I couldn't get it to repeat the symptom in the presence of the repairman. Now that it's no longer under warranty, I've developed a method for dealing with the occasional missed spin cycle (I spin to another mode, say, delicate, or unplug and replug the washer). Yesterday, none of my "tricks" worked, so I decided I would try to order the board and replace it myself, assuming that the ordering would be the easy part. So far, not so. I can't get a human on the phone at Frigidaire, and choosing "service" from their menu gets me a list of local repair facilities. The phone system also directs me to the website, which only offers the most basic consumer info (a far cry from the service Frigidaire gave me when my wall oven died: a CS rep talked me into buying a part to install myself and promised to have someone walk me thru it if necessary...it wasn't).
I'm confident (?) I can go down to my local Atlantic Appliance Parts and buy a (non-returnable) "board", but I don't know for sure where it even goes. Can anyone offer any tips?
