How long should I wait to put on an additional layer of grout? After it dried the places where I replaced the grouting are 1/16 or so too low to match the depth of the rest of the grout.
Thanks

Grout does not usually shrink. Was this premixed grout in a bucket? I hope not.

You really want the grout to be at least 2/3 the height of the tile.
It might not "stick" correctly if less. (i.e. putting a layer of 1/16 thickness)
Scrape out to the require depth and re-grout the area.
If it's premixed from a bucket, and not in a wet area or floor, you could just smoosh some on top of it.

"Smooshing" wouldn't be an industry recommendation and I doubt that adding only 1/16th would even be toolable in this case. The best thing to do is to remove the grout and start over.:)

I agree - start over but with real grout, not premixed.:)
