I have 4 outside flood lights on one circuit. Can I install a motion activated fixture on each light location. Some literature I have read says only one per switch.

You can put multiple lights on the same circuit as long as you don't control them with the same switch. The problem is that many of these fixtures use the switch to control certain options, such as the "always on" option. With multiple fixtures, you may accidentally get some of them in the always on mode when you don't want to, or not be able to get them into this mode when you do want to.

John is correct, however if your disciplined enough to put them in and leave them alone, you could do it. Remove the switch or protect it from inadvertant use and I feel you would be ok.
