I was looking for brushed nickle finished bathroom sink faucets @ Home Depot today. The only 2 models that caught my eye, were the Kohler Forte for $130 & a closeout Glacier Bay for $50. Both are solid brass & come w/ lifetime warranties. I could not determine where the Kohler was made, so I assume the US. The Glacier Bay was made in Italy. The Glacier Bay unit actually feels heavier, if weight determines quality. Did I make the right choice? I can still take the Glacier Bays back.

I have had very good luck with the Glacier Bay brand and recommend it.

Easiest way to check is look at HD for replacement parts. Since the faucet you bought was a closeout, you may not be able to get parts for it. I cannot imagine how long factory parts would take to get here.
Faucets are like most things you buy. Some people have great luck and others have bad luck. I stick to brands I KNOW I can get parts for. I would rather pay $10 for a part I am able to buy, than to wait for a free part from the manufacturer. Personal choice I guess. Good luck.
