Installing ceramic on 2nd floor using backer board, need to reduce to sheet vinyl in a door opening,
what options are avialable? I couldn't find anything in the Schluter catalog that was tall enough for both the tile and CBU. Links would be appreciated too.

How about a wood reducer? They are shaped similar to clamshell molding or the stop on a door jamb. They come in different widths and thicknesses. A lot of hardwood flooring stores carry them or get the unfinished in the lumber yard.
