We have a fairly new (within 5 years old) Kenmore 180 dryer that the timer will not advance and the cycle continues on until we manually turn it off. The heat still works properly. We replaced the entire timer unit today and the timer still does not advance and the cycle still continues to run (in any setting). Any other ideas? What else could make the timer knob not advance?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Whats the model number? Get it directly from the
model and serial tag. There also may be a 3 digit number followed
by a decimal point. Make sure you include it also.

You would have to see if you are getting 115 volts ac to the timer
motor when you have the dryer running. I like to set the timer on the
timed dry cycle first when checking. Do you know how to use a multimeter?
