Hi-
I'm redoing my tiled shower pan and need to replace the shower drain. I was wondering how high the bottom piece (of a 3 piece drain) should rest above the subfloor.
Thanks-
V

Always set the drain pipe center with the opening of the drain, cut it about an 1" higher than it needs to be. From there, install the rubber sleeve down inside the cup of drain assembly and tighten it down. Once the assembly is tightened, take an inside pipe cutter and cut the pipe off slightly above the tightening collar so that the chrome/stainless clip cover can go on.
