I have an Aprilair760 unit installed on my air handler. It has been working fine for about 10 yrs. I noticed that it is now leaking when running. (water dripping from the bottom).
Recently we shut off the ducts for 2 of our large rooms in the house (2400sq ft.), and it looks like the increase air pressure is bowing water past the humidifier fan blade. ??? Does this sound logical?
When running there is a good bit of water running out the bottom. Is there any adjustment on the solonid to control the water flow? Will this helP?

So how many vents have you shut off total?

No, there is no control to change the water pattern.

Pads new? in place?

I closed 3 out of 9 total vents.
The pad is new.
When I closed them off, I also lowered the fan speed from high to medium.

that's down to 6 vents opening! What size are the vents/duct work, and also, how many BTU is the furnace?
