My Whirlpool Electric Dryer (bought in 1999) is giving me almost no heat. It took 2 hours to dry 3 towels. Model number is LER4634EQ2. Both vents have been checked and seem to be lint free. I'm thinking a fuse or heating element, but don't know how to check. Can someone help? Thank You

To check them you would need a multi-meter.

And just so everybody knows: You can buy such meters at home supply centers for under $20...sometimes under $15... and these meters are worth their weight in gold because you can test for continuity, 110 volts, 220 volts, car battery volts 12v, flashlight 1.5v and smoke detector 9v batteries and check milliamp current. You can check ignitors on gas furnaces. Wiring in your car or at bulb sockets, etc. You can tell if you are getting juice at the fuse, or a socket, or if the reason your oven or stove top burners are burned out, etc., etc.

You are almost helpless and at the mercy of the professional, if you don't own one of these and know how to use it. You can't really be a do-it-yourselfer unless you own one.

The first thing that would need checked is the main power.
Are you getting 230 volts AC to the dryer. You can be missing
half of the voltage and the dryer would still run but little or no heat.
