I have Rheem electric water heater and since last night no hot water at all.
I checked both upper and lower thermostats and there is no power in the lower but there is
in the upper.
What could be the problem?
Thanks

If there is also 240 volts at the upper element, then it is bad. If there is 240 volts at the upper thermostat and not at the element, then the upper thermostat is bad or the red high limit thermostat is tripped on the upper thermostat. If you push the red button and it clicks and you then get hot water, the bottom thermostat is possibly defective. Post back with any further questions.

There is power in the upper element and thermostat.
There is NO power in the lower element and thermostat.
The red button is not tripped out.
Maybe one of the elements never worked before?
What do you think i should do next?
Thank you

Replace the top element after turning off the power. The bottom element won't come into play until after the top of the tank is heated up.
