Our contractor recently changed the flooring tiles of the shower stall with 1 inch square tiles. After waiting a week, we used the shower and now the grout is all swollen. The sad part is this is happening for the second time. Now I do not trust the contractor, is this something we can fix it by ourselves!!!
Any advicewill be greatly appreciated.

Swollen grout?????

What kind of grout did your contractor use?

Yes, swollen and chipping.
I do not know the brand he used, all I know is he used a ready to use grout.

By "ready to use grout" do you mean premixed grout that came out of a bucket? If so you are going to have to remove it and regrout. This type of grout is garbage and they should not be allowed to sell it. It is not a cement based product. You need to use grout that comes in a powder that you have to mix. What did the contractor use to set the tile? Was it also premixed in a bucket?

I think he used the same kind. There is a long story to this whole deal, looks like we had a contractor with no experience on tile work. Can I send you a private message to explain our problem?
Thanks
