Hey:

We are looking at fixing up our house to sell.

The stain on our door and window frames has bubbled.
Started stripping them but it's really messy, the stain is really sticky and hard to clean up after. Is it possible to sand them all down and just paint over them or does the stain and gloss have to be removed 1st?

Thanks in advance
:)

No need to strip them, just sand well and prime with a solvent based primer. You can then finish with oil base or latex.
