We are in the midst of remodeling a basement bathroom. The previous owners put in a jet tub that is nice but noisy. There is a long black motor that sits at the end of the tub on the same platform as the tub. Does anyone know of a way to quiet it? That peaceful easy feeling is kind of warped with the noise! :cheshire: Thank you.

The problem is, the noisy part (the motor), can't be insulated, since it needs air to stay cool.
The solutions then are:
Insulate everything else, that is, the three sides of the tub without the motor.
Install a facing with tile rather than the plastic sheet most seem to come with.
One day, maybe someone will make one with a remotely mounted motor..
