We had a water leak in the attic in December and am in the process of patching the holes we
drilled in the plasterboard ceiling. After I have primed and sealed the water marks what is the
best way to paint the ceiling? It has a textured finish, not popcorn, but flatbrush or crows feet.

Welcome to the forums
If you are just touching up the ceiling a brush would be fine, if you need to repaint the entire ceiling - use a 3/4" nap roller cover.

Thanks so much. I will probably have to paint the whole thing since the water marks are
pretty extensive and you will be able to see the difference.
