I have a 2 year Hampton Bay Windward II fan with a light kit and remote. During the last 3 weeks, the light has been flickering on and off. Now it turns on for a few secconds, dims and then turns off. The fans seems to work ok. I've replaced the circular flourescent light bulb but to avail.

Any ideas to what the problem can be? I also heard there is a lifetime warranty on these fans. I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if it applies here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Len

I'd try Hampton Bay's customer help line. If you can't find it, call your nearest Home Depot. Hampton Bay is Home Depot's house brand. It sounds like maybe your remote receiver is failing.

By the way, are you sure the fixture is designed to work with a fluorescent bulb? Most of these remote receivers only work with incandescent bulbs, since they contain an integrated dimmer.
