When taking a shower my tub does not leak, however when taking a bath the tub leaks into an ajoining room along the floor. The wall that the faucet is on is shared with the ajoining room. Any ideas.

Two differences I see between taking a shower and a bath. When taking a shower, the water is continually flowing and MAY not fill the drainline. When a bath is taken, the water released at the end fills the pipe. Could be a slip-joint or hole in the drain, leaking at the top side. Next is the tub overflow. It does not come into use when showering. When a bath is taken, depending on the level of the water, it could be going out the overflow tube. This may be leaking at a fitting or the tube itself. Good luck.
