The fan for our carrier heatpump suddendly stop working. The main heatpump runs but the fan does not thus no heat being blown through the ducts. What could be the cause?

A bad fan motor is always a possibility although a fan relay could be defective. You would need to trace voltage to find where it stops. If it was a fuse or circuit breaker, the outdooe unit probably wouldn't work either because the power supply comes from the indoor unit.

THanks for your reply.

I guess this has to be a professional fix job. We don't even know where the fan is. Don't think it's the fuse or circuit breaker problem since we had tried resetting the circuit breaker to no vail. The outdoor main unit runs but no air would blow though the ducts.
