im in the process of redoing my kitchen cabinets. they are in pretty good shape after sanding and stripping the old finish off.to match my window and base boards im using classic oak polyshade from minwax ,after applying a coat of polyurathine the color is a match.but in having trouble hiding the old screw holes and other blemishes with just wood filler .is there somrthing else that will work better.my cabinets are made of birch thanks

What are you using for wood filler. Color putty comes in different shades. You can't always get the exact color you need but inter mixing puttys usually gets it right. Most stained wood requires several different putty colors as there is differents colors in the wood.
