Any help would be appreciated. I installed ceramic tile in our previously sheet vinyled areas with 1/4 in. hardybacker underlayment. Now we are tearing out the carpet adjacent to these areas and laying Pergo laminate. I can't find a transition strip that will go from higher ceramic down to the new laminate. Any suggestions other than custom making this piece? There is about a 3/16 in. difference from what I can tell so far. Thank's again

You can usually use a laminate "reducer to vinyl" trim there. Just flip it around where it rest on the tile. If that don't work look at the various styles of engineered wood transitions available at the big box stores. Find one that is the right color and will fit your situation. It does not have to be a laminate trim per se', but do not fasten it to the laminate so it can float underneath.
