Hello, I have a 1920s home with a Pine floor running the length of the room. Unfortunately, there is no subfloor. I have read not to lay the new floor in the same direction as the old floor without putting down a sub floor on top of the old floor. What would happen to the new floor if I laid it on top of the old without a new subfloor, with both going in the same direction?
Would it be a big problem.
Thanks!
