I have installed two ceramic tile floors in my bathrooms. I want to replace my linoleum in my kitchen with ceramic tile. But at this time I am not doing a whole revamp, so my existing kitchen cabinets are going to stay. Should I empty and detach all the cabinets? or is it acceptable to tile around the cabinets, all I wanted to move out was the stove and refrigerator.
thanks
rj

rick,

You can tile-around the cabinets it's done everyday.

By-the-way you have mail (PM)

You can tile around the cabinets as Bud said. Make sure your not trapping your dishwasher (if you have one) under the cabinets. Also if the Refrigerator fits under a cabinet, make sure it will still fit after the floor is raised up - I saw this happen once - It didn't fit - missed by about 1/4" - pissed off homeowner.

Linoleum and underlayment should be removed.
