Hi,

My house was built in 1975. Before code required the walls to be insulated. So, I've been trying to determine if I have any. I've been trying to peak behing the eletrical outlets. But, they are cut so tight I am very hardly able to get a good view into the walls. Based on what little I can see I'd say there isn't any. I recently spoke with a neighbor who's house was built 6 months after mine but he has been in his house since the beginning. He knows there is insulation in his and was assuming the same for mine.

Any suggestions on how to peak into the wall cavitiy without causing much damage?

Thanks,
Shawn

Go to an inconspicuous spot on an outside wall and cut a hole on the inside to see what you have. You should be able to patch it.

Inconspicuous...like inside a closet.
