I was wondering what I need to do to get rid of the black stuff that keeps showing up in the toilet bowl. It appears that it is coming from the holding tank. As the toilet bowl is filling after flushing you cans see little black specs coming in with the water. I was wondering if there was a chemical that you can put in the holding tank to clean this up.

Little black specks are often (but not always) something rubber that's deteriorating. The toilet flapper would be a reasonable first thing to check. You can rub it with your finger and if your finger turns black, replace the flapper.
