i was looking for a way to keep my basement floor warmer. I am putting laminate flooring down and was wondering if there was something that i could put on the cement floor that would act as an insulation? Someone suggested, thin carpet underlay?? would this be possible or would it give me too much bounce and ruin the floor?? I am open to suggestions, but i want to do it on the cheaper side if possible....the floor is only 200sq ft
thanks in advance!!

never use carpet pad under laminate flooring. you're right - waaaay yonder too much bounce - floor would be ruined in a matter of hours.

if you're really concerned with warmth, go with carpet.
