We listen to alot of talk radio. Problem is theres a continual buzz in the background. Ive tried the loop antennas, rabbit ears, etc. When I hold the antenna wires the buzz goes away and AM reception becomes crystal clear. Thing is that Im tired of playing antenna. Ive got an old metal CD rack now with one wire connected to it as an antenna and its eliminated some of the buzz. I realize Am does pick up interference, but why do I make such a great antenna ?????? please advise. thanks- Bruce PS Ive got an old radio out in the sceen porch that picks up well, so Ive eliminated the power lines and geographic location:wall:

It could be other electronic equpment causing the interference.

Back in the day, I listened to AM talk radio while I did my morning internet, and got interference. I found the interference coming from the telepone cord going to the computer (internal modem), so I built a filter, which reduced or eliminated the interference. You could look into installing ferrite chokes and things.
