Can someone tell me what the difference between plaster and wallboard compound is and when one should use one over the other? I have been using wallboard compound to fill in cracks in my plaster walls and ceilings. Is this the wrong thing to do?

there is nothing wrong with using coumpound to fix cracks in your plaster walls.i dont know the difference between the two but i bet the main difference is the ingredients
