This is our first water softener, and the other night water filled up in the salt resivior tank and was leaking out of the overflow hose that goes to the floor drain. We turned off the water to the water softner and have been living without soft water now for over a week. My husband just told me about this and we are unclear what the problem is...clog, broke, or user error? I looked at the owners manual for the Kenmore, model NOS = 625.3484500; which makes no sense to us. We have only been in this house a few months and already had to replace the pump value, now this. Any help would be greatly appreciated to what might be the problem. I have heard the city we live in has a high Magneusum content and tends to build gunk in some systems.
