I am looking to improve my knowledge of how heat pumps works. I was a mechanical engineering student not so long ago and now work in the industry, therefore I know the basics. I am looking for a well set out and written book that explains from the basics up to the fine details. Stuff like the effects of changes in ambient temperature, coil sizes, flow rates etc etc

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good book!!

cheers

go to your alma mater bookstore, and buy the book, or work as an apprentice (if you really know how the stuff works), or read the previously posted threads on this forum and you should get a very good working knowledge of how a heat pump works(start from the begining). just as a note, there is a difference between heatpumps, air conditioners, furnaces, etc. read them all. there is a lot of info on this site. when you get done with home climate control, check out the other forums on electrical, plumbing,flooring,...........
