I'm looking at installing an Autoflo whole house humidifier. how would you rate them vs the Aprilair, Genera and LAU that I've noticed you recommend?
also, this manufacturer has a dehumidisat that mounts with the unit at the furnace (in the attic in my case) is it feasible to keep a humidisat near my thermostat in the house to keep from having to go into the attic, if I need to change the settings, or do I just need a hygrometer in the house?
lastly in regards to the above question ,I have seen a thermostat that tells you the RH in the house (as well as other things) how accurate are these?

Are you looking at a flow-through model? I can't imagine any difference between brands. There's not a lot to them... a plastic box, a solenoid valve, and something for water to run through.

1) Do you live in an area that freezes? Freezing temperatures in the attic and water in a humidifier do not go well together.
2) Humidistat near the thermostat works great, if you can run the wires.

Accurate enough.
