i had replaced my mercury t-stat with a programmable but after having a hvac person and fixing my wiring problem with the honeywell programmable it seems to constantly run... so today i want to swith back to the old t-stat because it saved more money then the "programmable" but i know that he had switched the wires at the heat pump. here's the wiring:
the old non programable t-stat:
Y-Y
G-G
R-R
O-O
W2-WHITE
E-BLACK
C-BLUE
at the heat pump now:
Y-Y
G-G
R-R
O-O
WHITE IS CAPPED
BLACK TO W1
BLUE-C
E is not connected and had not wire going into heat pump
w-2 had no wires also but has wire from connecters going into heatpump
so can i hook up the white wire to w2, and move the black wire to E and the wire that is going into W1 on heat pump.. would this return me to the orginal settings, before messing with the wiring to make the programmable t-stat work?
thanks... i also have a pic of the wiring at the heat pump if i only could get it posted or email it to someone who knew?

Why do you want to go back to the old stat?
What do you mean it runs constanly? it never shuts off, or the out door unit shuts off, but blower keeps running?
