I have a lennox heat pump that has given nothing but headaches. it is about five years old but gets repaired every year at least once. first day i moved into new house the a/c didn't work. tec came said it was s valve reversed... loose.. some garabage. a year later a/c went out, bad capacitor. next year same thing. year after the whole board was fried, had to be replaced. now everything seems to be working, all is normal, only the air blowing out is neither hot nor cold. whether i have it in heat or a/c the air blows the same temp. inside unit kicks on and outside unit kicks on all seems to be working correctly. i'm at wits end, should i just replace the whole thing?????
it seems that all the tecs have been doing is treating symptoms and not fixing the problem. im a little reluctant to call one again... i could have bought a new heat pump with all the repairs this one has cost. seriously, it is already pushing $2500. i live in phx, az with 3 kids and summer temps around 118. WE NEED A/C.... thx for all help or suggestions.

just a quick check, turn the unit in the heat mode, then go outside and tell us if the suction (the big line going to the heatpump) is getting hot.

And make certain the compressor in the outside condenser is running when you turn the unit on in the heat mode. If it is on and you are still getting a supply air temp at room temperature, then yes I would call your servicing dealer. You may have a system that needs to have the refrigerant checked for correct charge and/or a leak. And perhaps you may want to consider another dealer experienced with Lennox HPs. Is your thermostat setting being maintained? Or are you having to use auxilliary or emergency heat strips? Lots to consider here. Sorry for your troubles.
My opinion.
