I will usually screw a straight piece of lumber under the board I want to true up, making sure the scews will be out of the way of the blade. Run it through the table saw to true up one side. Remove it from the carrier lumber, run it through the edge jointer until it is true, then run it back through the table saw to true up the other edge, planing it again if necessary. Hope this helps.

Start out one edge first, cupped side away from fence to prevent rocking. Then for the face of the board use jointer again to joint a flat surface, again cupped side up for safety reasons. Once side is flat, then take it to the planer to get the thickness you desire. Good luck.
