I have a 1950s house in Rochester, NY. Daily the windows are covered on the inside with condensation. When it's really cold - less than 30 F often there is ice build-up. The original windows are not double pane or anthing. I do have "storm windows" but they do not do much.
The problem is rreally only upstairs and I suspect it's from showers/baths but as the curtains are opened we can dry out the windows ona sunny day and the problem returns overnight (prior to showers)
Is it possible I have too much moisture? Is this just somethign I need to live with?
I run a dehumidifier in the spring in teh basement but it never needs to run in the winter as the basement is dry because of the furnace.
I can live with the moisture but mold builds up quickly eventhough I clean with bleach.

What's the humidity leavel in the home now?
There's not much you can do with those old windows.. I have used the 3M window film ours inside, and it helps! It maybe too late to do it now.. But do it next fall when the windows are dry.
