I have recently moved into a new house and all the skirting boards have been removed. This has left me in turmoil as the walls that were behind the skirting are quite damaged. The walls have been re-plasteredbut no further than where the skirts started. I need some advice for repairing them.

Would you be able to describe what you mean by skirting? Is it trim, beadboard, wainscoating, etc.?
