i have a customer who has a flat screen mounted above the fireplace and wants all of his components mounted in a cabinet across the room (satellite box, surround sound receiver, dvd and vcr what cabling do i need to the tv to make this work and how do i connect it all any input will be greatly appreciated.

It really depends on the type of A/v Reciever he has. If it's a high end unit plug all the equipment into it, then you'll need to run two cables. One consists of Five RG-59 or Mini-Coax depending which you buy. They are all individually shielded color coded and consist of 3 component cables and 2 audio cables. Since he still has a VCR and you neve said if he had a hy-def satellite reciver you'll have to run another 1 video (RCA) cable.
How do you planning in controlling the equipment? I would at least recommend getting a Harmony remote, but you still need to get the signal into the cabinet if the doors aren't glass. Good luck SG
