My air conditioner has a air lock and is throwing out quite a bit of water, its in the pipe coming from the AC inside out to the outdoor unit, it has happened once before and a friend fixed it but not sure now, any one had this problem before and knows how to fix it please.

I doubt there is an "air lock" but more likely, a blockage in the drain line. The easiest way to clear a blockage is by attaching a wet vac to the discharge end of the drain pipe & suck out any crud (to use a highly technical term). If there is a tee in the line with one end vented to the air, that tee will need to be sealed off with tape or a plug of some sort (maybe a cork?).

Thanks for your comments Grady, that does seem as though it could be, had the unit for about 3 years now so will get it serviced properly by the installer incase I do something to make it worse, better $50 or so than a new unit.
