Walls and Ceilings - prime before or after texture is applied?

i can't remember whether to do my kd finish first then prime. or prime then do the texture. i have'nt been able to find the answer to this yet.

The texture should always be primed. There are circumstances where primer is necesarry first for the texture to bond but the texture would still need priming.
