I want to add a build up, picture frame type of molding to out kitchen bar/island. What type of molding should I use? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Ferche has a website that lists several types of wall / panel moldings. You might like the F-704, F-706, F-707, F-717. Not sure how wide your countertop is... you probably want something around 1 1/2" wide.

You can use a molding in any profile you choose. I've done many a picture frame molding with different chair rail type profiles.
