My cousin is considering using a product called Lipozene to lose weight (apparently it's a pill). The only information she had about it was an 800 number to order it. I can't find anything online about it. Does anyone know what's in it? Is it safe?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There appears to be nothing available about the pill. It is sold by the same 800 number folks who sell a fullness pill consisting of some sort of fiber. It strikes me as being one more in the endless march of magic pills to achieve what a well-balanced, nutritious diet, eating less, and exercising more is required to achieve.

I do not recommend the use of any diet pills - the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make permanent changes in your lifestyle and weight loss pills do not fit.

Snake oil; don't waste the money.
If all the money being wasted on the hundreds of "diet" miracle pills was put in one big pile, it could probably finance medical insurance for everyone in the country.

I have seen the television ads for that product. It is a generic for another product that was advertised for $158 a bottle. As stated in ALL ads for diet pills, Check with your doctor before starting any diet.

Ever notice that those pills always have the word diet in quotation marks [i.e. "Diet"]?
You might also notice that can only be sold legally as a "dietary supplement". That loophole gets them around any FDA oversight of their wild-@ss claims.

Thanks everyone! I couldn't agree more with all of you. I was successful at talking her out of ordering it. :)
I wish the laws were tougher about some of this junk. :wall:
Thanks again!
