Is it normal that the engineered hardwood floor piece 3/8" x 3 1/4" x Random Length warps like a bow before installation? Can it be installed (float or glue down) and not cause prblems in the future? Thank you for any help!

That is one reason they say in the instructions, to only open cartons as you need them. It keeps them straight, when boxed in the cartons.

It usually means the boards have not acclimated enough, and start gaining or losing moisture, then they start to bow up.

My problem is that the boards are already warpped when opening the box. They are not straight from the begining. Is this a factory defect?

Not giving you a cop out answer....but you need to call the mfg. tech people and voice your concern before you install anything. I have had to do this more than once.
