Has anyone built or put up a small indoor climbing wall?
I'd like to build one in my finished basement for my very young daughter (who loves to climb everything). My thought was to use covered 3/4inch plywood, and screw it directly onto the studs.
Is there any experience out there that you'd be able to share?

Other than creating an "attractive nusiance" as the attorneys call it, you could put up good cabinet grade 3/4" plywood, attached solidly to the studs, and attach the rocks and pulls to it, but consider the unattended fall factor before you do this. I know this is a DIY information forum, and my information may not be appropriate, I just worry about what could happen. The cabinet grade plywood will give a good smooth practically splinterless surface, and using pan head screws with fender washers under them will give good support without harming small hands if they slip past them accidentally. The washers will also help attaching the plywood joints by spanning the joint preventing pull out. Hey, good luck with the project, and I hope she loves it!!
