I'd like to put my Mits. split ductless on something like a setback thermostat. Is this often done? I can't seem to find anything on this.

Using the time functions on the A/C remote has never worked out well and it's tedious.

The temp could be set by the remote, but I'd like to use a programmable thermostat so that it comes on just before going to work and turns off late at night along with the ability to override when necessary. Any ideas?

Thanks...

If you want to turn it off completely, you could use a water heater timer. I don't know if it would come back on to a preset temperature or not. They might have a default temp in case of a power failure. I, thank heaven, don't have to work on many of these things.

I thought about a timer, but it would be in the basement and has no temperature input.
