I need some guidance.
I want to install a stone plaque 2ft/1ft, weighing about 10lbs on the exterior wall of my house which has a brick facade. What are my best options, can I simply secure it with some long screws or should I chip away some brick and use cement.
Thanks in advance for your help!

jsikander, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Does the plaque have mounting hardware or brackets? There are many types of hardware for doing this. Let us know what you want to do. Are you planning on drilling through it or applying hangers? Just a couple of the questions our experts will need to know to help you. Good luck.

The plaque has four holes at the corners for screws, there is no mounting hw as such, i wanted to just screw it in but was not sure if the bricks will hold.
Thanks for the help!

I don't see why the bricks won't hold. We had to remove a bronze plaque off the side of our church for renovation, and it had screws with rosette type washers on it. It was attached directly to the brick back in the 1950's and weighed in at about 50 lbs. The screw size was about 3/16" into plastic mollys over a length of a little over 1 1/2" on all 4 corners.

You will have better luck if the spacing of the holes permit you to get the screws into the mortar rather than the brick itselt for you small load. The drilling is easier and you do not run the risk of cracking a hard brick with and under-sized hole or a over-sized anchor.
If cannot hit the mortar joints, drilling into the brick will work.
You not need a lot of strength, just stability.
