there is probably a simple answer to this question, but I want to connect a new computer to my network and to do this I need to run a network cable to another room in my house. The wall I have to go thru is a block wall. My question is what type/size drill bit should I use. I have a hex drill (I forget what kind) and the wall thickness is typical 8" plus furring. Also, once I run the wire, are there some kind of 'plugs' that I can put on each wall to make it look clean?

Thanks in advance...

hi
you need a concrete blade 5/8" to let the jack pass thru.
as for cleanning the hole you could used a platic plug and cut a slot in it to slide over the cable

good luck
