The previous owners in our home laid wall to wall carpet in both of our bathrooms. I have pulled up the corners and have found that there is ceramic tile underneath. How do I go about removing the carpet in the bathrooms? The hall bath carpet is connected to the hallway carpet, and the master bath carpet is connected to the carpet in the master bathroom. I think I can take up the carpet, but I am uncertain as to how to cut off and lay a threshold down where it connects to the other carpets.

Pull it up. Cut it at the doorway leaving it a little long into the bath. Attach your transition, restretch the carpet up on the transition and cut, then tuck.
