I just bought a used refrigerator that had duct tape all around it for quite some time. After I pulled the tape off, there's quite a lot of the adhesive still on it. It has the textured plastic (or vinyl?) surface on the doors.
Will a solvent like mineral spirits damage the surface? If so, Is there something else I can use?

I would try rubbing alcohol and a lot of elbow grease.

A hair dryer has enough heat to get the glue soft enough so you can rub/wipe the residue off with a rag. hope this works for you as it did for me.

good ol lighter fluid (ronson).. just don't use with any open flames.. it has a lubricant that will keep it from cutting paints and plastics.. works great for cleaning up glue's..

I've used plain old vegetable oil. That usually works. If not, try a product called Goo Gone. :)

Try spray furniture polish. It is very good for removing labels and my work on your tape residue. Spray on a thick layer to cover completely and leave for 10 minutes or so before rubbing off. Good luck

I have used goof-off or goo-gone and they worked well but the oder is very strong. There is also denatured alcohol that works too but very little or no odor. These can be bought from your local hardware store.
